Pulse privacy policy

Effective 2026-10-15. Pulse is a personal, self-hosted health dashboard, open source, run by me, Krishnendu Biswas, for my own use only. It is not offered to the public.

Data Pulse accesses

Pulse reads Google Health API data from my own Google account, read-only: activity and fitness, health metrics and measurements, sleep, ECG, irregular rhythm notifications, nutrition, profile and device settings.

It also writes entries I create myself: nutrition, health metrics, mindfulness, symptoms and reproductive health. Google sign-in uses the openid, email and profile scopes.

Storage and use

Data is stored on my private server, reachable only on my private network. It is not sold, not shared, not transferred to third parties, not used for advertising and not used to train AI models.

Pulse's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access and deletion

I can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Data is deleted from the server on request.
